The Vision
Planning a Complete Community
We envision a vibrant, welcoming mixed-use program, which would include:
- A new hotel
- Residential space
- Retail and commercial space
- Dedicated indoor community space, such as a child day-care
Preserving and Creating Green Space
We propose preserving and creating substantially more green space, which would include:
- Removing the existing concrete surface parking lot/buildings and adding 1.3 acres of new landscaped space
- Preserving and providing public access to an additional 1.45 acres of existing on-site ravine lands
- Building new outdoor community space, such as a children’s playground
Responsible Transit/Pedestrian -Oriented Design
We imagine a responsible transit/pedestrian-oriented design strategy, which would include:
- Creating new, street-level retail off Wynford Drive
- Providing walkable, landscaped pedestrian connections to the new Eglinton Crosstown LRT Station
- Constructing a new crosswalk/traffic signal at Wynford Drive to manage existing and new traffic, while facilitating safe, pedestrian access to the myriad indoor and outdoor community amenities that 175 Wynford will offer
